NIKE X A COLD WALL*

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: MARINE SERRE

Utilizing 50 percent recycled natural leather fiber, Nike x A Cold Wall*’s newest collection introduces a revolutionary way of thinking about design and modes of production. The collaboration features footwear in black and white colorway, constructed in a leather and mesh upper body, revealing subtle reflective details on the tongue. This is accompanied by an all-over printed jersey with quilted sleeves, adjustable track pants rendered in a sculptural silhouette, yet made to appeal to comfort.

RAF SIMONS F/W18

Evocative of sculptures and astronautics, Raf Simons’ AW18 collection divides attention between exaggerated cushioned overcoats and rough streaked knits. Trouser legs come bubbled with pockets and padding in satin and tweed iterations, and cocooning caban jackets and parkas create a sense of foreboding protection.

BOTTER F/W18

For AW18, Botter presents an off-kilter array of reworked staples in a Botter-ian fashion. Button plackets run down the fronts and backs of tailored shirts—oversized, but calculated—while blown-up caretags are strung around the neck as a garnish. Clothespins decorate collars, brims, and pockets, with left and right hems chopped at different lengths. Wrapping up the season is the invertible jacket, executed as a plush terry bathrobe which has no ‘right-side-up,’ a design concept that Botter embraces.
