Francesca Lake is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Kingston, Jamaica, whose work bridges fashion, fine art, and storytelling. Drawing from her academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies from the University of the West Indies and a Master’s in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins, Lake crafts deeply emotive narratives that illuminate the untapped stories of Jamaican identity. Through garment construction, installation, ceramics, film, and prose, she seeks to amplify these lived experiences on a global stage. Her practice is rooted in both personal history and rigorous research, creating visceral and multidimensional works that expand the representation of authentic Jamaican culture within fashion and the arts.
