Canadian footwear designer John Fluevog began his career in 1970 as a partner in Vancouver’s Fox and Fluevog before establishing his namesake label. For more than five decades, Fluevog has challenged conventional shoemaking through sculptural silhouettes, exaggerated proportions, unconventional color combinations, and references spanning Victorian footwear, Art Deco, punk, and ’90s club culture. Known for distinctive styles such as the curved-heel Munster platform, the brand approaches traditional boots, loafers, and heels with a playful sense of experimentation while maintaining an emphasis on wearability and craftsmanship. Fluevog’s singular design language and commitment to individuality have earned the label a devoted following across generations, positioning its footwear as an enduring alternative to prevailing fashion trends.
