Began in 1969 in Tokyo and now based out of Paris’ prestigious Place Vendome, Kawakubo’s universal observation of aesthetics has resonated soundly for over 45 years. CdG is known for their innovative use of textiles, unconventional construction methods, stark use of blacks, reds, and a fanatical appropriation of polka dots.
