Sovetsky1917 is a rising Moscow-based miltary-streetwear brand helmed by designer Maxim Popov. It was founded on October 2017, one-hundred years since the Soviet Revolution. Popov takes inspiration from this event, conceiving of contemporary utilitarian workwear colored with the stark contrasts between the vibrant reds and earthy tones associated with this facet of Russian history.
