The advent of instagrammable and fast fashion has seemingly left classic couteriers as cultural carrion- Time spent developing a craft is typically time not spent devolping branding and imagery, two crucial factors for maintaining a successful label in 2017's social media-driven market. To purport both consistent and professional imagery as well as an elevated product could be described as "threading the needle"- something that is difficult, painstaking, and takes skill and patience.

Enter Turkish dynamo Dilara Findikoglu, a recent graduate of Central Saint Martins. Findikoglu's visceral and aggressive pieces bridge the gap between current and classic couture, with materials ranging from re-worked band merch, to incredibly complex one of a kind textiles. The sense of material elevation is abundantly clear, but not gaudy or overdone. The balance is maintained seemingly effortlessly, and the concisness of the brand as a whole is a refreshing, welcomed take on womenswear.
