At the behest of his own volition, New York-based designer Han Wen secretly disobeyed the wishes of his parents to study for a more practical career to pursue his passion for art and design. This rebellious move paid off, as upon his debut, Wen was recognized by Parsons as a top graduate. Wen's eponymous avant-garde brand sports womenswear which juxtapose hard and soft as well as masculinity and femininity. Conceived with the guidance of his experience are experimental silhouettes such as spiraled dresses on satin, and grommeted shirts augmented by a touch of streetwear-inspired heat-pressed graphics.
