Comme Des Garcons Tricot

Comme des Garçons Tricot is the brand's area of specialization in terms of knitwear. "Tricot" is the French word for the garment type at hand, and the CDG line is spearheaded Junya Watanabe-trained designer Tao Kurihara. With Kurihara at the helm, the collections focus on reimagining traditional womenswear silhouettes with a subtle and eerily humorous nod to the "Japanese Schoolgirl" subculture, applying asymmetric ruches to blouses and reforming the typical use of tartan, while balancing attention between the clothing and the body underneath.
