LA MASKARADE

SERIES 07 - PROTOTYPES

Prototypes presents their latest collection, Series07 - focusing on the themes of tribalism and allegiance inherent within football fan communities and beyond. Dramatized and distorted jerseys are coupled with masked elements. Here, the concept of the self recedes into the background, surrendering to signifiers of collectivity.

LA MASKARADE

Introducing - La Maskarade -  a London based label founded by Max Danet in 2019 – a year that has often been regarded as the pinnacle of club culture due to its inextricable relationship with fashion and mass culture. Moving against the grain, Danet’s design process concerns itself with a hyper-awareness of niche trends, while simultaneously working with upcycled materials and local artisanal textiles to produce environmentally responsible one-of-a-kind garments. Danet’s latest collection provides a disparate assortment of silhouettes ranging from suiting, athleticwear, streetwear, and eveningwear–completed with deconstructed detailing that is both loud and incognito in its palette. Rich in graphic elements and hand-painted embellishments, the visual references offer a playful and gender-fluid approach to style.
