[ ACID_GLACIERS; ]
I nspired by the visce ral beauty and slow unceasing destructive power of glacial ice, iconic Japanese designer Tetsuro Horikawa's SS2018 [ ACID GLACIERS; ] Collection is rooted firmly in processed 12.5oz denims. Once deep shades of black, garments undergo a pigment stripping process resulting in ice-toned shades accented with remnants of dye held fast within the bindings of the object. The finish echos the visual nature of a mass of ice mixed with the Earth and a heavy hand is applied to distression giving each piece an individual sense of longevity; the piece has spanned time.
